Volunteer Positions

Our organization is successful due to the commitment of our volunteers.  We cannot do it without you!

We require the following commitment from all teams during the Spring season:
1.      All teams must cover the Snack Shack for one week during the season.  The Team Parent is responsible for assigning Snack Shack duty (this may occur even if you do not have a game scheduled at that time).
2.      All home teams are responsible for raking out the home plate area, pitching mound and base paths after each home game.  This small step makes a big difference in our field maintenance.

In addition, all families must volunteer in at least one area:

Head Coach
Provide direction and instruction for players in a positive environment.  Attend games and hold practices as appropriate per league (Minor, Major and Senior coaches should strive for at least one practice per week in addition to the game schedule).  Work with Team Parent to oversee League tasks are accomplished (i.e., picture form distribution).

Head coaches must attend at least one Winter Clinic for his/her respective league in March, as well as a mandatory coachs meeting (date TBD, typically early March).

Assistant Coach
Provide support to Head Coach, as well as coverage as needed.  Assistant Coaches are strongly encouraged to attend at least one Winter Clinic for his/her respective league in March, as well as the coachs meeting.

Team Parent
Act as the primary communication liaison between the Head Coach and team.  Coordinate picture forms and assign shifts for Snack Shack when needed.

Pre-Season Prep
Tasks for pre-season include organizing the shed, inventory and prepare equipment bags, field clean-up, snack shack clean up and preparation.

Closing Day
Tasks for closing day are numerous and include distributing t-shirts, serving lunch, overseeing sno-cones, obtaining equipment, supplies, etc.  We would love to have a group of parents get together this year to form a Closing Day Committee.  If you have ideas on how we can improve this day for the kids, please consider chairing this committee.

Equipment
Coordinate equipment for leagues, shed, etc., order year-end equipment, etc.

Other Tasks
There are numerous tasks with which parents can assist during the year.  This may be copying and delivering notices, picking up equipment, coordinating picture day, PR (notices to local publications/websites), making calls to reserve gym space or order supplies, assisting with the Snack Shack coordination, etc.  Please contact us at to inquire or for more information.
